Shawano police responded to a wide range of calls yesterday. Officers assisted fire and ambulance crews’ multiple times, including responses to medical calls and fire alarms at Shawano Community High School and a residence on Pearl Court
Police also investigated several reports of suspicious activity, including ongoing harassment complaints from an elderly resident on Madison Way. Officers documented multiple vehicle-related incidents, including disabled vehicles, lockouts, and a minor traffic accident where parties chose to self-report damage
Retail theft was a major issue Tuesday afternoon, with officers responding to several shoplifting calls at Qualheim’s True Value on East Green Bay Street. One suspect was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Haven Hotel
Additional calls included a domestic disturbance, a welfare check at a local hotel, and school-related incidents. No further details have been released, and several cases remain under investigation.
Clintonville police were kept busy responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Officers began the early morning hours with multiple business checks on McKinley Avenue, North Main Street, North Park Street, Anne Street, and East 12th Street, part of routine patrol efforts to deter crime. Additional patrols were conducted later in the morning on Anne Street, South Madison Street, and Pine Street.
Emergency crews were called to 20th Street just after 9:30 a.m. for an ambulance response. Later in the morning, police investigated an alarm call on 11th Street and checked a report of suspicious activity on North 12th Street.
During the afternoon, officers assisted a resident on Brix Street and responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of 20th Street and North Main Street. No serious injuries were reported.
Police also assisted another agency on North 12th Street and handled a mental health-related call on McKinley Avenue in the early evening.
The day wrapped up with a late-night business check on Commercial Avenue.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy and wide-ranging call load Tuesday, January 27th, with more than 40 incidents reported across the county.
Deputies were first called out just after 2:30 a.m. to assist fire crews at a residence on South Union Street in the city of Shawano. Overnight and into the early morning hours, several traffic-related calls were reported, including reckless driving complaints along Highway 29, Highway 45, and County Trunk G, along with multiple disabled vehicles and non-injury crashes caused by icy road conditions.
Throughout the morning, deputies also provided courthouse security at the Shawano County Courthouse during scheduled hearings, responded to information reports at the county jail, and assisted motorists with vehicle lockouts and stalled vehicles.
Late morning and afternoon calls included drug-related investigations, welfare checks in Wittenberg, Marion, and Shawano, and assistance calls for residents needing help after falls or medical concerns. Deputies also executed multiple warrants during the day.
During the evening hours, deputies responded to several abandoned 9-1-1 calls, suspicious vehicle complaints, and additional traffic incidents. Two domestic disturbance calls were reported late Tuesday evening in Shawano County, both of which remain under investigation.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department also reported three calls for service, including a sexual assault investigation in the Bowler area, which remains active. Authorities say no further details are being released at this time.
