CLINTONVILLE, WI – The Clintonville School District is reviewing results from its recent community survey exploring a potential operational referendum, and Superintendent Troy Kuhn says the response was encouraging.
Kuhn thanked residents for taking the time to share their thoughts and priorities for the district’s future, noting that participation exceeded expectations. He says the response rate was higher than originally predicted, signaling strong community interest in the district’s financial direction.
According to Kuhn, the survey focused on maintaining fiscal responsibility while also identifying potential areas for cost savings. He says the goal was to better understand what the community values most as the district evaluates its long-term financial needs.
Kuhn also pointed to one major takeaway from the survey results: a significant number of respondents remain undecided. He says many residents indicated they need more information before forming an opinion, highlighting the importance of continued communication and transparency from the district.
Overall, Kuhn says the feedback shows the community is open to and generally supportive of moving forward with some type of referendum to address district needs. Based on the survey results, a school board meeting is scheduled for January 26th at 5:30 p.m., when members will consider a resolution to formally advance the district into the operational referendum process.
