Shawano Police stayed busy with early morning calls. Officers handled multiple traffic hazards, including a large branch blocking the roadway near Green Bay and Lafayette Streets. Several alarm calls were reported at local businesses, including the Launching Pad near the airport and Cellcom on North Main Street, though no break-ins were confirmed.
Police also assisted ambulance crews on a medical call on South Main Street and investigated a suspicious activity report near East Randall and South Andrews Streets. Later in the morning, officers responded to a reported drug incident at the Family Dollar, where a baggie believed to contain drugs was found near the entrance.
Throughout the day, police assisted schools with truancy issues, helped motorists with disabled vehicles and lockouts, and recovered a found bicycle. In the evening, officers responded to a weapon complaint at the Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street. Multiple units were called to the scene, and the situation was handled without reported injuries.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls Officers were first called out just after 2:40 a.m. to provide mutual aid on South Grand Avenue. During the early morning hours, police conducted extra patrols on Anne Street, 20th Street, and South Madison Street, along with a school extra patrol near 20th Street as students arrived for the day.
Later in the morning, officers performed a business check in the 20th Street area.
In the afternoon, police responded to an ambulance call on Pine Street and assisted a resident on West Green Tree Road. Officers also provided agency assistance on Brix Street.
During the early evening hours, a theft was reported on West 13th Street, and officers later responded to a disabled vehicle on South Main Street.
The night wrapped up with two traffic stops, one at 16th Street and Lincoln Avenue, and another near Highway 22 and Autumn Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office reported Deputies investigated multiple alarm calls overnight, including two separate alarms at the Dollar General store in Bonduel and another alarm at a mini-mart on Spruce Road. All of those alarms were cleared without reports of forced entry.
Road conditions kept deputies busy throughout the day. Several traffic hazards were reported, including a tree blocking the roadway near Resort Road and Swan Acre Drive, broken glass on County Trunk M, a couch sitting in the westbound lane on Highway 29, and debris reported in the eastbound lane of Highway 29 near mile marker 229. All hazards were addressed.
There were also multiple traffic crashes, including several vehicles sliding into ditches due to slippery conditions. No serious injuries were reported, though one crash involved a deer that had to be dispatched by deputies.
The Sheriff’s Office also made several warrant-related arrests throughout the day, including pickups from the Menominee Tribal Jail and arrests at the Shawano County Courthouse and Probation and Parole offices.
Deputies responded to welfare checks, suspicious activity reports, and multiple calls for assistance, including transports related to work release and inter-agency cooperation with Langlade County and tribal law enforcement.
Officials continue to remind drivers to slow down during winter conditions and report roadway hazards when they see them.
