Shawano police responded Just after midnight, officers were called to a reported disturbance at an apartment on East Richmond Street. A short time later, police conducted a welfare check at a nearby apartment after reports of unusual noises. Officers confirmed everything was okay.
Early in the morning, police responded to a trespassing complaint at the Hardee’s restaurant on East Green Bay Street, where a subject was removed from the property. Later, officers assisted with a vehicle stopped in the roadway near County Trunk B and Industrial Drive.
Midday, a large police response was sent to Olga Brener Woods after a report of a suspicious person possibly armed. Officers searched the area and handled the situation without reported injuries.
Police also handled multiple welfare checks, medical assists, theft reports, and several reckless driving complaints throughout the afternoon and evening.
Clintonville Police responded to a wide range of calls throughout the city.
Early in the morning, officers were dispatched to an alarm on South Main Street just before 2 a.m., followed by a report of suspicious activity on North 12th Street shortly before 4. Extra patrols were conducted in several neighborhoods, including South Madison Street, Anne Street, and 20th Street, as part of routine visibility and safety efforts.
Later in the morning, police responded to a property damage complaint on 18th Street and conducted extra patrols near a local school on West Green Tree Road. Officers also handled both an alarm and a fire alarm on South Main Street during the day.
Traffic enforcement made up a large portion of the evening shift, with multiple traffic stops conducted along South Main Street and at key intersections throughout the city, including Highway 22 and Commercial Avenue. Officers also addressed a traffic hazard near South Main and West Madison Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 27 calls for service. Early in the morning, deputies were called to a reported water main break near Maple Drive and North Washington Street, where water was seen bubbling up into the roadway. Several traffic hazards were also reported overnight, including deer carcasses and disabled vehicles, particularly along Highways 47, 45, and 156.
Just before 6 a.m., deputies investigated an operating while intoxicated case at County Trunk B and Industrial Drive after a vehicle was reported stopped in the roadway. Multiple traffic crashes followed during the morning commute, including rollovers and vehicles sliding into ditches. No serious injuries were reported.
Later in the day, deputies handled fraud and scam complaints, including reports of unauthorized credit card charges and an elderly resident believed to be the target of a financial scam. Authorities continue to remind residents to be cautious and report suspicious activity.
Other calls included courthouse security, a shoplifting complaint at a Shawano business, welfare checks, and a disturbance involving family members. Deputies also responded to several accidental 911 calls throughout the day.
In the evening hours, officers handled a disorderly conduct call, inmate transport, and additional crashes involving animals on county roadways.
Stockbridge-Munsee Police assisted with welfare checks, traffic incidents involving deer, and a report of a vehicle weaving across the roadway.
