Shawano Police were kept busy Monday responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Early in the morning, officers were dispatched to a personal injury crash at the intersection of East Green Bay Street and South Airport Drive, where multiple units assisted at the scene. The extent of injuries has not been released.
Later in the morning, police responded to a commercial alarm on North Main Street, which was determined to be a false alarm. Officers also worked several school-related incidents, including truancy reports, juvenile complaints, and school liaison calls at Olga Brener School and Shawano Community High School.
In the afternoon, officers investigated a shoplifting case at Walmart, where a computer monitor was reported stolen, and responded to a reckless driving complaint on South Sawyer Street. Police also assisted with traffic hazards along Highway 29, where debris was reported in the roadway.
During the evening hours, officers conducted multiple welfare checks, including one involving an unresponsive individual and another involving an intoxicated person found outside a business. Police also assisted the Shawano Fire Department with a reported gas odor on South Evergreen Street.
Clintonville Police responded to a steady stream of calls throughout Monday across the city. Officers began the day with overnight business checks and suspicious activity reports on South Main Street, Fourth Street, and North 12th Street. A drug-related call was reported on Motor Street early in the morning.
Police assisted ambulance services on Wilson Street and conducted several traffic stops, including along Highway 22, South Main Street, and near Memorial Circle. Officers also provided extra patrols in residential areas, including Anne Street, 20th Street, and South Madison Street.
Midday activity included a fire alarm and agency assist on West Green Tree Road, along with an information report on Ninth Street. During the afternoon and evening hours, police responded to multiple animal-related calls, including two reported animal bites on South Main Street and Brix Street, as well as a stray animal near North Main and West 13th Street.
The evening concluded with a motor vehicle crash at Commercial Avenue and Winter Street, a reported theft on North Main Street, and additional traffic enforcement before the end of the night.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 40 calls for service Monday, keeping deputies busy across the county from early morning through late night.
Deputies began the day responding to multiple 911 calls, including abandoned and accidental calls in Cecil, Bonduel, and Bowler. Several traffic-related incidents were reported throughout the county, including multiple deer-vehicle crashes along Highway 29, Highway 47, and County roads, as well as a personal-injury crash near Highway 47 and Lake Road in the Bonduel area. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
Law enforcement also responded to a number of reckless driving complaints, with reports coming in from Cecil, Pulaski, Bonduel, and Shawano. Deputies conducted several traffic hazard checks, clearing debris and assisting disabled vehicles along major roadways, including Highway 29 and Highway 47.
Additional calls included welfare checks, fraud complaints, and threatening behavior reports, along with multiple instances of courthouse security at the Shawano County Courthouse. Deputies also made contact on several warrants and capias arrests during the day.
Animal-related incidents were reported, including a sick or injured deer that had to be dispatched, and a loose dog reported along Highway 29. Deputies also assisted other agencies and emergency responders with medical calls and general assistance late into the evening.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department also reported activity, including a non-reportable crash, a DNR violation, threatening behavior complaints, and assistance with medical and law enforcement calls in the Bowler and Gresham areas.
