Norman K. Severson, age 76 of Tigerton, passed away early Friday morning, January 9, 2026, at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, with his loving wife by his side.
Norman “Norm” Kenneth Severson was born June 16, 1949, the son of the late Lester and Evelyn (Jelinski) Severson. He attended schools in both Tigerton and Bowler. On June 27, 1970, Norm was united in marriage to Arlene L. Jensen at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigerton. He was a dedicated worker, spending 35 years as a millworker for the Tigerton Lumber Company.
Norm was a man of many passions, most notably his love for cars. He spent many years attending car shows and swap meets, including the Iola Car Show, with his good friend Rev. Clifford Kessen. He was particularly proud of restoring his 1945 Dodge pickup along with many other vehicles over the years. When he wasn’t working on cars, Norm could be found tinkering in his workshop, collecting hubcaps, or working on his collection of tractor and semi-truck models. He also enjoyed deer hunting with friends and cherished the companionship of his dogs, Bobbie and Missy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Arlene; his children: Duaine Severson, Jason (Julie Wudstrack) Severson, and Jennifer (Glen Schmidt) Severson; and his aunt, Sylvia Cotter.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Roy Severson, Ruthie Severson, and Judy Barth; and an infant brother, Duaine.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Tigerton, with Rev. Dean Suehring and Rev. Clifford Kessen officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Froedtert Hospital, as well as the Tigerton Fire Department and ambulance first responders for their care and assistance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Norm’s name are preferred to be directed to his family.
