SHAWANO, WI – Bruce Milavitz says ongoing infrastructure projects and momentum across the city played a major role in his decision to run for another term as mayor of Shawano.
Milavitz said the city currently has multiple projects moving forward, and he wants to remain involved to see that work through to completion. He described infrastructure as a key priority, emphasizing its importance to Shawano’s long-term success and quality of life for residents.
In addition to infrastructure, Milavitz said he wants to continue working with the state on Shawano’s levy limits, noting that levy policy has a significant impact on city finances and long-term planning. He said maintaining a strong relationship with state leaders will be important as the city balances growth with fiscal responsibility.
As of now, no challengers have filed to run against Milavitz in the race for mayor.
Looking ahead, Milavitz said his message to the Shawano community is one of optimism and support. He described himself as a cheerleader for the city and said he wants to continue promoting growth and helping Shawano move forward. Milavitz added that he’s excited about the next two years and believes the city is well-positioned for continued progress.
