Shawano police stayed busy throughout the day Sunday, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Early in the morning, officers stopped a vehicle near East Green Bay Street and Ellis Street for an operating-while-intoxicated related incident, with multiple units assisting at the scene.
Later in the morning, officers responded to a 911 medical call on South Hamlin Street involving a resident who had recently undergone knee surgery and was reported disoriented after a fall. Welfare checks were also conducted on East Fifth Street and East Maurer Street, including one involving concern for a missing 20-year-old woman who had not been heard from since the previous evening.
Police also investigated a reported assault connected to locations on South Sawyer Street and South Franklin Street. During the afternoon, officers handled a non-reportable crash near Valley Lane and Prospect Circle, followed by a personal-injury crash on East Green Bay Street that required ambulance response.
Additional welfare checks were conducted throughout the evening, including a report of a woman passed out in a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.
Clintonville police were active throughout the day Sunday, January fourth, responding to a variety of calls across the city. Just after midnight, officers conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street, followed shortly by a response to a carbon monoxide alarm on Memorial Circle. Residents were reminded to check detectors and ventilate homes when alarms sound.
During the early morning hours, extra patrols were conducted on Anne Street and 20th Street as officers increased visibility in residential areas. In the early afternoon, police assisted a disabled vehicle near North Main Street and West Green Tree Road.
Later in the day, officers responded to ambulance calls on East First Street and Rohrer Street, while also performing a routine business check along South Main Street. Evening traffic stops were reported at West Madison and West Street, and again near East Morning Glory Drive and East First Street.
The night wrapped up with officers responding to a report of a stray animal on Brent Street.
Shawano County deputies responded to nearly 30 calls for service on Sunday, January fourth, covering everything from domestic disturbances to traffic crashes and welfare checks across the county.
Just before 1 a.m., deputies were called to a reported domestic disturbance on Taconic Drive in the Bowler area. Later in the early morning hours, deputies handled a disturbance in the Village of Wittenberg, assisted with an animal-related call, and responded to a report of suspicious activity near County Highway K in the Town of Shawano.
Throughout the day, deputies worked multiple traffic incidents, including several non-reportable crashes, traffic hazards, and reckless driving complaints along Highways 29, 22, 45, and 156. No serious injuries were reported in those incidents.
Deputies also responded to several 911 calls, animal complaints, and a welfare check involving a person experiencing mental health concerns. In the evening, deputies assisted fire crews in the Shiocton area and handled multiple disabled vehicles along Highway 29.
