Marcella May Degener, age 93, passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2025, in Clintonville. Marcella was born on February 10, 1932, in the Town of Belle Plaine to Louis and Laura Krause. She was united in marriage to Roland Degener May 7, 1951, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. They shared 40 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death January 20, 1992. They spent all their married life in Belle Plaine and were members of St. John Lutheran Church. Marcella was a cook at Manorcare Nursing Home for 29 years. She loved sewing, playing cards, and gardening. She also liked going to the casino with her friends. Marcella enjoyed time with her family; especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Wayne) Malliet of Shawano and Donna (Kevin) Huebner of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Steve (Debbie) Buschel, Melissa (Robert) Granada, Kristine (Jeff) LaViolette, Benjamin Malliet, Karelyn Malliet, Philip (Emilie) Huebner, Timothy (Ellie) Huebner, and Sara Rusch; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Lyle Krause of Shawano.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland; children, Shirley (Bill) Buschel, David Degener, and Keith Degener; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine with Pastor Todd Jerabek officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of services. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
