SHAWANO, WI – A familiar face on delivery routes throughout Shawano County is about to receive a major honor. Longtime UPS driver Kurt Holewinski will be recognized on January 2 at the UPS facility in Green Bay for achieving 25 years of safe driving, a milestone built on decades of reliability and community connection.
Friend and coworker Todd Karcz says Holewinski’s name will be added to the company’s internal Ring of Honor, a distinction reserved for drivers who demonstrate exceptional safety and professionalism. Karcz describes Holewinski as not only dependable but also one of the friendliest faces customers see at their doors.
Holewinski, who officially reached his 25-year mark on November 30, reflected on one of the highlights of his career, delivering during the holiday season. “In the back of my mind, it’s like I’m bringing all the presents and gifts to people who are expecting and not expecting,” he said. “It brings them a little bit of happiness.”
Coworkers and leadership will gather next week to celebrate Holewinski’s achievement, honoring a driver many in the community have come to know and appreciate.
