Audrey V. Stupecky, age 89, of Shawano, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at ThedaCare in Neenah. Audrey was born August 25, 1936, in Manitowoc, a daughter of the late Louis and Leona (Staudinger) Remaker. Audrey attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc and graduated with the Class of 1954. Following high school, she began her career as a bookkeeper, working many years at Farmers Implement in Shawano before finishing her career at M&I Bank. In December of 1957, Audrey married her high school sweetheart, Ronald “Ron” Stupecky. The couple enjoyed going on numerous bus tours to Branson, MO, as well as trips to the casino together. Family was of the utmost importance to Audrey,
and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She took great pride in supporting them, rarely missing a sporting event or an important milestone in their lives. Even as their grandchildren grew older, they attended games and continued to cheer on various Shawano teams. The couple’s support aided them in receiving the “Fan of the Year” award from the athletic booster club. She cherished every visit from her great-grandchildren and always made sure the cookie jar was full. Her husband preceded her in death on February 8, 2025. Audrey enjoyed puzzles, playing bridge, watching ice skating, and the Game Show Network. She had an amazing network of friends who are near and dear to her, celebrating the Taco Club for over 32 years and TOPS Club for 27 years. She cherished outings with friends and family, always enjoying meals shared in good company.
Survivors include her children, Mike (Kori) Stupecky of Shawano and Lynn (Jed) Carroll of Shawano; daughter-in-law, Nanette Stupecky; seven grandchildren, Jordan (Jesse) Fritsch, Justin Stupecky, Michael (Heather) Stupecky, Sam Stupecky, Cody (Lisa) Carroll, Chelsey (Marquel) Carroll, and Cade (Emily) Carroll; great-grandchildren, Lennon, Everett, Rowan, Maceon, Cashton, Isla, and Bella; and sister, Carol Thiry. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her son, Randy Stupecky in 2022; brother, Leon Remaker; and brother-in-law, John Thiry.
