SHAWANO, WI – Sacred Heart Catholic School is filled with festive energy this December as students and staff celebrate their annual Christmas Spirit Week, a long-cherished tradition that blends creativity, community, and faith during the Advent season. Classrooms and hallways have come alive with holiday-themed costumes, gingerbread characters, reindeer onesies, elves, Grinches, and even Mrs. Claus, creating a joyful atmosphere throughout the school. Teachers and staff joined the fun as well, helping fill the building with laughter and excitement as students showcased their holiday spirit.
Festivities continued in the gymnasium and church, where students donned Nativity-inspired costumes to bring the story of Christ’s birth to life. Angels, shepherds, Mary, Joseph, wise men, and even animals gathered at the altar alongside clergy members, offering a powerful reminder of the spiritual heart of the Christmas season.
Throughout the week, students reflected on the meaning of Advent through daily prayers, classroom discussions, and a school Nativity play, focusing on themes of hope, generosity, and faith. The celebration will conclude with the school’s all-grades Christmas Concert, where students will share their music and messages of joy with families and friends.
