SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Girls Basketball team played catch-up for most of the night, falling to Green Bay Preble 63-48.
The Hawks trailed 35-24 at the break, and never got the lead back. Shawano cut the lead down to six points late in the game, but gave up some key three point shots which helped put the game away.
The Hornets hit 8 three pointers on the night and were paced by Brooklyn Lucassen with 34 points. Leah Nordin was held to 19 points and led Shawano in scoring.
The Hawks got 10 points from Anna Dreier in support. Shawano was 3 of 22 from behind the arc and less than 50 percent from the free throw line.
