Shawano Police responded to a variety of calls throughout the day Yesterday. Officers were first sent just after midnight to a report of a suspicious 911 call originating on East Richmond Street. Responders checked the area but found no signs of an emergency.
A short time later, police handled a noise complaint on South Water Street. The caller reported ongoing loud disturbances overnight, and an officer followed up at the home.
Around mid-morning, officers were dispatched to a welfare check after a patient walked away from a medical facility. The individual was found nearby and evaluated.
Another welfare check followed soon after on South Hamlin Street, where officers confirmed everything was okay.
Police were later called to Shawano Estates, where management reported a recurring problem with someone illegally dumping trash. An officer documented the case and followed up with those involved.
Late morning brought a report of threats at an apartment on East Lieg Avenue. The caller told dispatch they had been receiving harassing messages online. Officers responded and began an investigation.
Just before 1 p.m., multiple officers were sent to Goodwill Industries for a disturbance in the parking lot involving a man yelling and rolling on the ground. Police made contact and settled the situation.
In the evening, officers assisted other agencies in locating a vehicle involved in a disturbance on Highway 22 and later handled a welfare concern on East 5th Street involving children possibly not being cared for properly.
The day ended with a report of reckless driving at the Walmart parking lot, where several trucks were reportedly doing donuts. Officers made contact with the drivers.
And early this morning, police responded to a 911 call from Mountain Bay Trail Drive, confirming no emergency.
Clintonville Police were kept busy throughout the day yesterday, responding to a long list of calls — many of them focused on parking enforcement across the city. Officers checked dozens of vehicles from early morning through late evening, with repeated patrols on streets including Lincoln Avenue, Brix Street, McKinley Avenue, Ninth Street, and Brent Street. Several of those areas saw multiple citations or warnings issued within minutes.
Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to a 911 call on 6th Street, followed about half an hour later by a suspicious vehicle report on the west side of town. Another suspicious activity call came in around 3:52 a.m. on Pearl Street.
Emergency crews were sent to Industrial Avenue around 5:15 a.m. for an ambulance call, and another medical response took place just after 4 p.m. on North 12th Street.
Officers also handled a drug-related complaint on Green Tree Road mid-morning, a stray animal on 20th Street, and a citizen assist request on South Main Street.
Police conducted several extra patrols throughout the day, including along Anne Street and 20th Street, and made a traffic stop on South Main Street just after 4 p.m.
The department also provided school patrol assistance on West Green Tree Road both in the morning and afternoon.
More activity continued into the night, with additional parking enforcement and neighborhood checks across the city.
Shawano County deputies handled a steady run of calls throughout the day on Tuesday, with several traffic incidents kicking off the morning commute.
Just before two a.m., officers responded to a vehicle found in the ditch along Highway 47 near Wildlife Road in the Town of Bonduel. A few hours later, another slide-off was reported on Highway 29 west of the Ho-Chunk interchange, though no injuries were reported.
Deputies were also called to multiple disabled vehicles, including one near Old 29 Road outside Bowler and another along County Road G near Gresham where a driver went door-to-door seeking help.
A series of non-reportable traffic crashes continued through the morning, including a vehicle found unoccupied in the northbound lane of Highway 47 south of Old Dump Road. A separate deer-related crash was reported outside the county.
Around six-twenty, deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence in Wittenberg after the owner reported their family member had not returned home.
A welfare check was performed on Azalea Drive in Shawano following a medical alert notification, and dispatchers also handled several 911 hang-ups throughout the morning.
Just before noon, deputies were notified of a package theft on Pine Ridge Road. In another property-related call, trespassing was reported at a home in Tigerton, where a previous issue with a neighbor resurfaced.
The afternoon brought more disabled vehicles, including a semi that broke down on Highway 29 near Broadway Road, requiring traffic control. Deputies also oversaw an eviction in Shawano, followed by the recovery of stolen property in a related case.
Later in the evening, officers responded to an animal bite in Bonduel and a disturbance near Ash Circle and Highway 22 in Shawano. Several additional traffic incidents rounded out the night, including crashes near Airport Road and County Road T.
