NEW LONDON, WI- It was a statement-making night for the New London Bulldog wrestling programs, as both the boys and girls teams powered their way to season-opening success on Tuesday.
The Bulldog boys swept all three of their duals, picking up strong wins over Antigo, Little Chute and Mosinee to start the year with an impressive 3-0 record. The girls team added to the momentum by winning their lone dual of the night, officially opening their season at 1-0.
The highlight of the evening belonged to senior standout William Christopher, who reached a major milestone in his varsity career. Christopher earned the 100th win of his New London career, joining an exclusive group of Bulldog wrestlers to hit the century mark.
Coaches, teammates and fans celebrated the achievement matside as Christopher’s victory capped an already electric night for the program.
