SHAWANO, WI – Shawano Downtown BID Coordinator Lindsay Johnson is reminding residents that this weekend is the perfect time to support local businesses as Small Business Saturday returns. “That is the day that we support shopping local,” Johnson said. “Our businesses in downtown have so many one-of-a-kind items, and the service is phenomenal.”
Johnson also emphasized the impact local spending has on the community. She says every dollar spent locally stays in Shawano, helping support the small businesses that give back to residents throughout the year.
In addition to shopping, families are invited to Franklin Park from 3 to 5 p.m. for a full lineup of festive activities, including visits with Santa and live reindeer. The day will wrap up with Shawano’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.
