Imogene R. Bartz, age 94, of Cecil, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025, with family by her side. Imogene was born May 5, 1931, in Shawano, a daughter of the late David and
Minnie (Zabel) Raddant. She attended Shawano High School and graduated with the Class of 1948. Following high school, she worked at the Shawano Leader for a short time before staying home to raise her family. On July 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Roger Bartz at St. John’s Church in Belle Plaine. A devoted homemaker, Imogene lovingly raised their seven children. The couple enjoyed dancing together and working side by side on the farm. Her husband preceded her in death on November 22, 2008. In her younger years, Imogene enjoyed gardening. More recently, she loved coloring pictures, playing cards, and fishing. She had a fondness for butterflies and remained steadfast in her faith. Imogene was a good and faithful member of Our Savior’s Christian Church in the Town of Lessor.
Survivors include her seven children, Rogene (Steve) Wegner, Steve (Jody) Bartz, Mark (Lynn) Bartz, Marlene (Craig) Krohlow, Chris Bartz, Todd (Lynn) Bartz, and Tim Bartz; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren with two on the way; four great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister, Diane Kucksdorf; brother, Lyndle Raddant; sisters-in-law, Betty Bartz, Pam Raddant, and Darlene Raddant; and brothers-in-law, Howard Bartz and Bud Boldig. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Imogene was preceded in death by her sisters, Ardis Seidelman and Rosella Siefert; brother, Ron Raddant; grandchildren, Nicole Bartz and Justin Jeske; great-grandchild, Maeryn Jandrin; and grandson-in-law, Gaylord Schenkoski.
A funeral service for Imogene R. Bartz will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at Our Savior’s Christian Church, Town of Lessor. Pastor Bill Tisch will officiate. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
Visitation will begin at the church on Monday at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service.
In lieu of plants and flowers the family kindly prefers memorials in Imogene’s name.
