Seymour Girls Enter Transition Season With Promising Junior Class
The Seymour High School Boys Basketball Preview Spotlight is presented by Bay Bank with locations in Keshena and Green Bay. It is also sponsored by Express Printing.
The Seymour girls basketball team enters a new era after graduating five senior rotation players from a 13-win, fourth-place Bay Conference season. Even with that turnover, the Thunder return a core capable of keeping them competitive. Key returners include Natalea Hill (4 PPG), Jaelyn Wenninger (5 PPG), and Kylie Zahn (2 PPG), with a strong junior class expected to take on bigger roles. Seymour also adds improved team speed and multiple ball-handlers, which should help in the always-tough Bay.
The biggest challenges will be replacing senior scoring, regaining frontcourt physicality, and developing consistent three-point shooting. Leadership will also be important with such a young group.
Still, this isn’t a full rebuild. With rising talent and a deep junior class, Seymour has enough pieces to stay competitive, and if the new scoring options emerge, the Thunder could climb into the top half of the Bay Conference.
