Bowler Girls Look to Develop Young Core After Heavy Graduation Losses
The Bowler High School Girls Basketball Preview Spotlight is presented by Bay Bank with locations in Keshena and Green Bay. The preview is also sponsored by Kropfs Meats.
The Bowler Girls enter this season coming off a 4–16 year and losing three major contributors, Paige Treptow, Autumn Thiex, and leading scorer/rebounder Natalie Rickert. Those departures take roughly 40 points and 17 rebounds per game off the roster. But the Panthers return a young core with upside. Madison Piotrowski brings the most varsity experience and is expected to anchor the frontcourt. Libby Carrington could emerge as the new go-to scorer, while Jessa Hartleben returns as Bowler’s most efficient shooter. With eight underclassmen returning, the Panthers are very young but have room to grow. How Bowler replaces Rickert’s production and develops new scoring options will shape their ceiling. If the young group gels, the Panthers could take a noticeable step forward in the CWC North.
