Gillett Girls Look to Stay Near Top of M&O With Strong Junior Core
The Gillett High School Boys Basketball Preview Spotlight is presented by Bay Bank with locations in Keshena and Green Bay.
The Gillett girls are coming off a 20–5 season and a second-place finish in the M&O, and despite graduating several key players, the Tigers return enough talent to remain in the conference mix. The biggest loss is Cilena Guns, who averaged nearly 14 points and 8 rebounds per game last year. But Gillett brings back major production with Audrey Pate (9.9 PPG, 6.4 RPG) and Hope Soper (9.6 PPG, 25 threes), giving the team a proven scoring duo. Additional returners like Sophie Limberg, Clara Shaal, and Maggie Kaczmarek round out a junior-heavy lineup with solid balance. While Gillett may not be quite as experienced as a year ago, they return enough firepower to stay in the top half of the M&O — and with several rivals graduating heavy production, the Tigers are positioned for another top-three finish.
