New London Girls Look Poised for Major Improvement Behind Returning Core

The New London girls basketball team finished 6–19 last season, but with nearly the entire roster back, the Bulldogs could be one of the Bay Conference’s most improved squads. New London graduates just one senior and returns its top four scorers, including Morgan Jones, who led the team with 8.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. At six feet tall, Jones gives the Bulldogs a matchup advantage inside, while players like Sarah Daly, Shaye Allen, Jenna Handschke, and Madelyn Esser bring added scoring and experience.
With better size, more shooting options, and a lineup full of returning contributors, New London appears positioned to climb the Bay standings and compete far more consistently this season.
