Shiocton Girls Poised for a Jump Behind Reese and Strong Defense
The Shiocton High School Boys Basketball Preview Spotlight is presented by Bay Bank with locations in Keshena and Green Bay.
The Shiocton Lady Chiefs finished 6–18 last season but return nearly all of their scoring, losing just one senior. The headline name is senior guard Aliyah Reese, who head coach Jeremy Young calls “very vital, a leader who knows how to play.” Young says the Chiefs are still young but already showing major growth on the defensive end. “We’re playing amazing defense. The girls are really coming together,” he said.Reese brings back 282 points, while Bella Young and several role players add up to one of the highest returning totals in the CWC East. Young believes that gives Shiocton a real chance to compete. With a top scorer returning and an experienced junior class, the Chiefs have a strong opportunity to climb the East standings and surprise some teams this season.
