Senior Breanna Ingram powered Port Edwards with 14 points and 9 rebounds, stuffing the stat sheet on both ends. Taylin McDonald added 11 points and a game-high 6 assists without committing a turnover, while Sierra Eklund battled inside for 6 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Valedia Hernandez also chipped in 7 rebounds and 6 assists as the Blackhawks controlled the glass and moved the ball well.
Despite the balanced effort and strong second-half surge, Port Edwards couldn’t quite erase the deficit, dropping to 0-1 while Faith Christian opened its year at 1-0.
