Mathias “Butch” Katch, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Meadow View Assisted Living in Bonduel, Wisconsin. Butch was born on January 23, 1939, in Pulaski to the late Mathias and Helen (Matczak) Katch. He graduated from Pulaski High School and served his country by being in the United States Air Force. On October 3, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Schultz in Crown Point, Indiana. In his years living in Indiana, he worked at Stuaffer Chemical Company. Butch enjoyed watching all sports on television from football to golf and even watching bull riding! But his favorite sport was watching the Green Bay Packers. In his earlier years he went to numerous Packer home games, and it didn’t matter what the weather was like, he just wanted to support his favorite team. He was a proud grandpa and great-grandpa and enjoyed going to their sporting and school events. He was a member of St. John Hermansfort Church, and he enjoyed the visits from Pastor Conradt and the cards and gifts that he received when he was unable to attend.
