SHAWANO, WI – Sacred Heart Catholic School continued its tradition of spiritual growth this week as the 6th and 7th grade classes, joined by their kindergarten Mass buddies, led the school’s weekly All School Mass. The liturgy emphasized themes of faith, family, and gratitude, giving students the opportunity to take an active role in prayer and reflection. School leaders say these opportunities not only strengthen the school community but also help students deepen their relationship with Christ through meaningful participation in worship.
Father Edward Looney presided over the Mass and delivered a homily centered on the day’s reading from 2 Maccabees 7:1, 20-31. He spoke about the love and sacrifice shown by mothers in the Scripture, encouraging students to reflect on and appreciate the care and devotion of their own mothers.
Sacred Heart Catholic School says it remains committed to fostering a Christ-centered environment where students are encouraged to live out their faith inside the classroom and throughout their daily lives.
