
Daniel “Dan” Maryniak, age 62, of Gresham passed away on Sunday November 9, 2025, at his home. Dan was born on November 15, 1962, in North Lake, Illinois, to the late Edward and Joan (Trenhaile) Maryniak. The family moved to a farm in the Town of Herman in the mid 70’s and he graduated from Shawano High School in 1980. He attended St. Norbert College and UWGB. On June 14, 1986, Dan was united in marriage to Kristine Reinke in Cecil, Wisconsin. He held numerous jobs throughout his life. In later years, Dan enjoyed vending at the Shawano Flea Market making many new friends and catching up with old friends. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and Scottish ancestry.
Dan is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kris Maryniak; sons, Alan Maryniak and James Maryniak; brother, Lyle (Julie) Maryniak; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Lana Reinke, Kathy and Bill Wirth, and David and Jami Reinke; ten nephews and one niece, Nick, Derek, Drew, Dan, Nathan, Mathew, Lucas, David, Jeremy, Jennifer and Jake and their spouses and extended families; and aunt, Dori Albert. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Joan Maryniak; in-laws, Donald and Joan Reinke; and sister-in-law, Kristine Reinke.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday November 15, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham.
