Shawano Police Report officers were kept busy with a variety of calls throughout the day — including multiple welfare checks, a pedestrian accident, and reports of stolen property.
Early in the morning, police assisted the fire department after a caller reported the smell of propane near East Green Bay Street. Crews checked the area around Qualheim’s and determined everything was normal.
A little later, officers responded to a report from Safe Haven on Lakeland Road regarding a restraining order violation. That case remains active.
Just after three in the afternoon, police were called to East Zingler Avenue and South Union Street for a pedestrian accident. Several officers and Shawano Ambulance responded to the scene. Details on injuries were not released.
A separate call came in about the theft of two mini bikes stolen from a garage on South Union Street — one camo-colored and one a Coleman brand. Police say suspects may be from the Neopit area.
Later in the evening, officers helped the fire department again — this time for a carbon monoxide alarm on South Union Street. No injuries were reported.
Police also handled several welfare checks and helped a local business return a lost wallet to its owner.
And just after midnight, officers responded to a medical alert on Timber Trail, assisting a woman who had fallen but was not hurt.
Clintonville officers handled a variety of calls throughout the day, including ambulance assists, traffic stops, and reports of suspicious activity. Two ambulance calls were logged early in the day — one on Anne Street and another on Robert Street. Police also responded to two disorderly conduct incidents, one on East 14th Street and another on Lincoln Avenue. A theft was reported on South Main Street, while officers also investigated a tobacco-related problem on West Green Tree Road. Several lost-and-found calls came in, including items turned in from East 14th Street near McKinley and from South Main. Police checked on a suspicious vehicle on East 12th Street and a separate suspicious person on West Madison Street. Officers also assisted with parking enforcement and several routine traffic stops across the city, including Madison Street, South Main, and Green Tree Road.
Shawano County Sheriff’s Report Deputies handled nearly 30 calls for service across the county — ranging from welfare checks and traffic hazards to theft and reckless driving.
Early in the morning, deputies investigated a counterfeit bill reported at a local business along County Trunk A. The incident involved a fake twenty-dollar bill and remains under review.
Around daybreak, officers checked on a suspicious person seen near the Lake Mart in Shawano — the caller reported a man dressed in all black carrying a backpack near the door.
A short time later, deputies dealt with several traffic hazards along Highway 29, including a deer carcass blocking eastbound lanes. The highway department was notified for removal.
At mid-morning, deputies received a call about a wrong-way driver heading east in the westbound lanes of Highway 29 near Highway 160. No crashes were reported.
The Sheriff’s Office also responded to a civil complaint from a homeowner on Postl Court reporting a neighbor blowing leaves into her yard.
A theft was reported near Highway 22 in Cecil after a resident said a trail camera had been stolen from hunting land behind the ABA Storage units.
Deputies also performed several welfare checks, including one for a 94-year-old man in the town of Waukechon who hadn’t been seen in over a week, and another for an elderly woman after a medical alert was triggered late Tuesday night.
And finally, a report came in from Bonduel where a family member asked for help checking on a man going through a manic episode. Deputies located him safely.
