TOWN OF SENECA, WI – An 18-year-old accused in a deadly high-speed crash in Shawano County has pleaded not guilty.
Collyn Jorgenson faces charges of first-degree reckless homicide, reckless injury, and obstruction in connection with a June 19 crash in the Town of Seneca. Investigators say Jorgenson was driving at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour when he lost control of his vehicle, went airborne, and crashed, killing a 14-year-old passenger and seriously injuring another teen.
According to prosecutors, Jorgenson initially told investigators that someone else had been behind the wheel.
He is scheduled to return to court on February 24, with a trial date yet to be set.
