SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano School District says several major referendum projects approved by voters last November are already underway and progressing on schedule. Director of Business Services Brian Kadlec says much of the current work involves design and engineering planning, as well as maintenance projects taking place within district buildings.
One of the biggest milestones expected soon is the relocation of the district office from the high school to the middle school — a move aimed at improving efficiency and freeing up space for students and staff. Kadlec says with the district securing its final bond to fund the projects, the team is now on a tight three-year timeline to spend down the funds and complete the planned improvements.
Community members are invited to learn more about the district’s financial outlook and construction progress at a public meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the Shawano High School Auditorium.
