CLINTONVILLE, WI – Clintonville School District leaders are welcoming a boost in state aid this year, calling it a major benefit for both students and taxpayers. Superintendent Troy Kuhn says the increase will make a meaningful impact for a small rural district like Clintonville, where every dollar helps sustain quality education.
“Anytime a rural school district receives extra state aid, it’s important because that’s included in our budget, it’s not always extra money,” Kuhn explained. He says the additional funding will help maintain strong educational programs while easing the financial burden on local taxpayers.
Kuhn attributes the increase in aid to the district paying off more of its construction debt tied to past building projects, including the elementary and middle schools. With the district’s finances improving, Kuhn says Clintonville is now exploring an operational referendum that could potentially lower local taxes while continuing to invest in classrooms and student success.
