Shawano Police Report Officers were called to two domestic disturbances during the day. The first came in around 1:23 a.m. on North Airport Road, where multiple officers responded to a dispute between two people. A second disturbance was reported that evening around 6:50 p.m. on East Green Bay Street, with four officers on scene.
Officers also handled several medical calls, including ambulance assists on Crestwood Court, Estates Lane, and South Sawyer Street.
At Walmart, police investigated two separate shoplifting incidents—one reported from the weekend and another later that afternoon.
A forgery complaint was taken at Safe Haven on Lakeland Road, after a resident alleged that a soon-to-be ex-spouse had signed court paperwork in their name in Waupaca County.
Police also responded to reckless driving complaints on North Main Street and South Airport Drive and handled a non-reportable crash after a bicyclist struck a vehicle outside Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street.
In another call, officers conducted a welfare check at Walmart after reports that a woman was threatening self-harm.
And probation agents requested help taking a man into custody after he tested positive for multiple drugs, including meth and ecstasy.
The Clintonville Police Department logged a steady day of activity on Monday, October twentieth.
Officers conducted a series of business checks overnight and early morning hours along South Main Street, 16th Street, and Industrial Avenue, making sure businesses were secure.
During the day, police responded to a traffic complaint at North Main and Highway 156, and later investigated a possible probation violation on South Main.
Two ambulance assists were handled—one on 6th Street in the late morning and another that evening on South Main.
Officers also provided mutual aid on Madison Road, checked on a suspicious situation on South Main, and carried out several extra patrols around 20th Street, Morning Glory Drive, and Memorial Circle.
A traffic stop took place at West Madison and Bennett Street Monday night, and school patrols were conducted along West Green Tree Road to keep students safe.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a busy day of calls Monday, October 20th, handling more than 50 incidents across the county.
Deputies investigated a domestic disturbance early in the morning on North Airport Road in the Town of Shawano, where one person was taken into custody. Later in the day, another domestic call was reported in Wittenberg just before midnight. A death investigation was conducted at a home on Willow Creek Road in the Town of Herman.
Deputies also handled several traffic-related incidents, including multiple car-versus-deer crashes along Highway 29 and local town roads. One crash with injuries was reported near Robin Road west of Wittenberg.
Elsewhere, a counterfeit $100 bill was turned in at Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats in Wittenberg, and a fraud report was filed by a Shawano resident claiming someone had used their driver’s license number.
Other calls included animal complaints, a theft of trail cameras on public land, and a report of cows wandering onto a rural road near Pulaski.
