SHAWANO, WI – The United Way of Shawano and Menominee Counties is gearing up for its annual fundraising campaign, with a focus on uniting the community to make a lasting impact.
Executive Director Uriah Williams says the organization works year-round to support families through programs such as volunteer income tax assistance sites, diaper banks, and youth mental health services. “Our campaign raises money for programs that touch lives in meaningful ways,” Williams explained.
This year’s campaign theme, “Being United is the Way,” reflects the effort to bring people together for the common good. Williams emphasized that the campaign season is especially important because it allows United Way to concentrate its fundraising now, making space for other nonprofits to run their own efforts throughout the year.
The campaign kickoff event will be held on October 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Boarders Inn and Suites in Shawano. Organizers say every dollar raised will go directly toward improving the quality of life for residents in Shawano and Menominee counties.
