@ Lake Country Lutheran Invite
The Waupaca Comets took the bus ride down to Lake Country Lutheran to partake in 4 matches, results below:
Waupaca 2, East Troy 0
(25-12, 25-9)
The Comets cruised to a sweep of the Trojans in their 1st match of the day. The Comets hit a blistering .395 throughout the match to stifle the Trojans.
Waupaca 2, Lakeside Lutheran 0
(25-14, 25-15)
The Comets cruised to another sweep, this time over the Warriors of Lakeside Lutheran. Senior Molly Martens had 7 kills as the Comets hit a .396 during the sweep.
Waupaca 2, Waterloo 1
(25-17, 22-25, 15-3)
The Comets survived the Pirates in 3 sets to move to 3-0 on the day. Peyton Carlson had 18 kills for Waupaca as they held Waterloo to only 3 points in the final set.
Waupaca 2, Lake Country Lutheran 0
(27-25, 25-22)
The Comets finished off their day with a sweep in 2 hard fought sets over the host Lightning. Peyton Carlson added another 18 kills to her stat sheet for the day.
After a 4-0 weekend, the Comets improve to 19-10 overall.
@ Algoma Invite
The Crivitz Wolverines played 5 matches in Algoma on Saturday, results are below:
Ashwaubenon 2, Crivitz 1
(20-25, 25-20, 14-16)
The Wolverines got the Jaguars in the 1st match of the day and it was a good one as it went all the way to 3 sets which is the max in Invite Play. Crivitz won the 2nd set but could not muster enough in the 3rd to take home the 1st match of the day. Kiya Brand, Brecken Ott and Marli Meyers all had 5 kills for Crivitz. The Wolverines only had a .022 hit percentage in their 1st match of the day.
Sevastopol 2, Crivitz 1
(21-25, 25-19, 9-15)
The Wolverines had another 3-setter in their 2nd match of the day this time against the Pioneers of Sevastopol. Again, like the 1st match of the day, Crivitz won the 2nd set but could not capitalize in the 3rd. Brecken Ott and Marli Meyers had 6 kills for the Wolverines.
Crivitz 2, Algoma 1
(25-20, 18-25, 15-11)
This time in their 3rd match of the day, the Wolverines flipped the script on the host school Algoma, winning sets 1 & 3. Peyton Rehberg and Brecken Ott had 8 kills for Crivitz.
Crivitz 2, Two Rivers 0
(25-18, 25-22)
The Wolverines picked up their 2nd win in a row at the Algoma Invite, sweeping the Purple Raiders. Marli Meyers registered 6 kills and 4 solo blocks for Crivitz.
Crivitz 2, Pacelli 1
(26-24, 17-25, 15-12)
The Wolverines got their 3rd straight win to cap off the Invite, beating the Pacelli Cardinals in 3 sets. Piper Wesner had 8 kills and 4 aces for Crivitz.
After a 3-2 weekend in Algoma, the Wolverines sit at 13-4 on the season.
@ Wisconsin Lutheran Invite
The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes traveled down to a invite in Milwaukee. Results for the Foxes are below from Saturday:
Divine Savior Academy 2, Fox Valley Lutheran 0
(12-25, 17-25)
The Foxes lost their opening match to the visiting Sharks coming up from Florida. Senior Brianna Stewart had 6 kills for FVL. The Foxes as a team hit a .000 during the match as the Sharks defense came to play.
Fox Valley Lutheran 2, Winnebago Lutheran 1
(25-13, 24-26, 15-7)
Alaina Patchett had 8 kills for FVL in their 2nd match of the day. The Foxes took the 1st and the 3rd sets for a 3-set win over the Vikings.
Manitowoc Lutheran 2, Fox Valley Lutheran 1
(25-23, 21-25, 12-15)
The Foxes found themselves in another tough 3-set match, this time with the Lancers of Manitowoc Lutheran. The Lancers went to State last year. The Foxes hung tough with the Lancers, taking set 1 but losing back-to-back sets and ultimately losing the match. Ellie Hayes had 7 kills for FVL.
#18 Watertown Luther Prep 2, Fox Valley Lutheran 1
(27-25, 18-25, 14-16)
The Foxes found themselves in yet another 3-set match, this time with a ranked Phoenix team that is hot this season and ranked 18th in the State. The Foxes held their own yet again as they took the 1st set but then dropped back-to-back sets. Alaina Patchett had 14 kills for FVL.
Fox Valley Lutheran 2, Luther 0
(25-21, 25-15)
The Foxes ended their day on a good note as they got their 1st sweep of the Knights. Riley Schmitz and Emily Matthias had 4 aces combined.
After a 2-3 weekend down in Milwaukee, FVL sits at 21-8 overall.
@ Valders Invite
Valders 2, Little Chute 0
(17-25, 24-26)
The Mustangs started their day off with the host school, Valders. The Mustangs fought hard both sets but started off their day with a loss. Ashley Graf had 7 kills for Little Chute.
Little Chute 2, Denmark 1
(21-25, 25-19, 15-11)
The Mustangs got back on the right track by upsetting Denmark at the Invite in their 2nd match. The Mustangs pulled a reverse sweep on the Vikings in 3 sets to win. Audrey Butkovich had 7 kills.
Little Chute 2, Omro 1
(25-15, 20-25, 15-13)
This time in their 3rd match, the Mustangs won another 3 set match this time against the Foxes. Ashley Graf hammered down 12 kills.
Little Chute 2, Reedsville 0
(25-23, 25-23)
The Mustangs held off the Panthers for a sweep in their 4th match of the day at Valders. The Mustangs defense held Reedsville to a .022 hit percentage in the 2 sets.
Little Chute 2, Florence 1
(20-25, 25-20, 18-16)
In their final match of the day, Little Chute again pulled out a reverse sweep taking sets 2 and 3 from the Bobcats. Hattie Grishaber had 6 kills.
After a 4-1 weekend in Valders, Little Chute sits at 11-9 overall.
@ West De Pere Invite
The Oconto Falls Panthers looked to continue their hot streak traveling down to West De Pere for an invite. Results below for the black and orange:
#25 Oconto Falls 2, Sheboygan Falls 0
(25-10, 25-22)
In a battle of the Falls, The Panthers picked up right where they left off, sweeping the Falcons in straight sets. Lucy Ripley had 11 kills for the Panthers.
#25 Oconto Falls 2, Marinette 0
(25-12, 25-11)
The Panthers cruised to a sweep over the Marines at West De Pere. The Panthers hit a massive .367 throughout the match to stifle the Marinette side.
#25 Oconto Falls 2, Oconto 0
(25-23, 26-24)
In a battle for the City of Oconto, the win went to the Panthers as they swept the Blue Devils but not without a fight from their city counterpart, the 2nd set went to extra points which the Panthers pulled out. Izzy Otto had 3 aces from the service line to help the Panther attack.
#25 Oconto Falls 2, Kiel 0
(25-18, 25-19)
The Panthers remained perfect on the day, sweeping the Raiders of Kiel. Calli Bursa for Oconto Falls had 8 kills and 2 aces.
#25 Oconto Falls 2, West De Pere 0
(25-22, 27-25)
In a battle of the orange and black, the battle went to Oconto Falls as they capped off a perfect invite down in West De Pere, taking down the home team 2-0. Brylee Gorman had 6 kills for the Panthers.
After a perfect 5-0 weekend in West De Pere, Oconto Falls improves to 26-4 overall.
@ Appleton East Invite
Hortonville, Pulaski and Luxemburg-Casco all took part in the Appleton East Invite on Saturday. Results below:
Hortonville
Hortonville 2, Chilton 0
(25-10, 26-24)
The Polar Bears got off to a hot start on Saturday, sweeping the Tigers 2-0. Brooke Bacus had 8 kills for Hortonville. Brynley Wunderlich had 3 aces from the service line.
Marshfield 2, Hortonville 0
(9-25, 16-25)
The Polar Bears found themselves battling another Tigers team and this time it was the opposite of the 1st match as Hortonville got swept by Marshfield. The Polar Bears were held to a -.090 during the match.
Milton 2, Hortonville 0
(18-25, 24-26)
The Polar Bears got swept for the 2nd straight match in a row, this time by the Red Hawks. Rayna Nelson had 5 kills. The Polar Bears fought in both sets, taking the 2nd set to extra points but the Red Hawks took the match.
Eau Claire Memorial 2, Hortonville 0
(29-31, 21-25)
The Polar Bears lost their final match of the day losing to the Old Abes. Hortonville again fought taking the 1st set beyond 30 points and only losing by 4 in the 2nd set.
After a 1-3 weekend, Hortonville drops to 13-12 overall.
Pulaski
Luxemburg-Casco 2, Pulaski 0
(15-25, 20-25)
The Red Raiders started off their day with a loss to a very good Spartans team. The Red Raiders fought in both sets but it was Lux-Casco with the sweep.
D.C. Everest 2, Pulaski 1
(16-25, 27-25, 12-15)
The Red Raiders lost their 2nd match of the day in a tight 3-setter to the Evergreens. Pulaski took the 2nd set to even the match but it was D.C. Everest in the end taking it 2-1.
Pulaski 2, Appleton West 1
(22-25, 25-21, 15-11)
The Red Raiders got their 1st win of the day in reverse sweep style over the Terrors.
Pulaski 2, Appleton East 1
(25-15, 20-25, 15-11)
Pulaski got their 2nd straight win of the day defeating their 2nd Appleton team in a row, this time the host school in the Patriots.
Pulaski 2, Eau Claire Memorial 1
(19-25, 27-25, 15-12)
The Red Raiders won their 3rd match in a row defeating the Old Abes and ending on a high note after dropping their 1st two matches of the day.
After a 3-2 weekend, Pulaski sits at 14-13 overall.
Luxemburg-Casco
Luxemburg-Casco 2, Pulaski 0
(25-15, 25-20)
The Spartans swept the Red Raiders to begin their day. Aubrey Frey had 9 kills for Lux-Casco. Claire Schleis had 8 kills.
Luxemburg-Casco 2, Appleton West 0
(25-7, 25-11)
The Spartans cruised to a sweep over the Terrors holding Appleton West below 15 points in both sets. Lux-Casco hit a .256 during the match on their way to the sweep.
Luxemburg-Casco 2, D.C. Everest 0
(25-16, 25-23)
The Spartans chopped down the Evergreens in 2 sets for their 2nd straight sweep of the day. Alayna Deprez had 5 kills for Lux-Casco.
Stevens Point 2, Luxemburg-Casco 1
(21-25, 27-25, 10-15)
The Panthers got the best of the Spartans in their final match of the day, the Spartans took it to 3 sets but it was the Panthers coming out on top. Aubrey Frey had 20 kills.
After a 3-1 weekend, Luxemburg-Casco sits at 23-8 overall.
