COLEMAN, WI- A new billboard is going up in Coleman. Former Shawano County Sheriff and current Coleman Police Chief Adam Bieber is behind the project, and says the billboard is memory of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Bieber announced that the first billboard, located in Coleman, has already been printed and should be installed within the next two weeks. That sign will remain in place for six months and is fully funded through community donations.
A second billboard is also being planned for Marinette, but Bieber says it comes with a higher price tag. “The upfront cost for setup and printing is the same as Coleman, about $1,800, but the monthly rental fee is $880 compared to $375 in Coleman.” Bieber says only one month of display time has been secured so far, though he’s confident supporters will raise enough money to extend the campaign.
He adds that while some residents suggested using Bible verses on the billboards, the focus will remain on honoring Kirk’s life and work. “If I can point people to Charlie Kirk,” Bieber said, “Charlie Kirk will point people to Christ.”
The goal is to have the billboards in place before October 14, which would have been Kirk’s birthday.
