Shawano police had a busy Tuesday, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Early in the morning, officers and EMTs assisted a woman on South Sawyer Street who was struggling to get into her wheelchair. A reckless driving complaint followed a short time later, with callers reporting a white work van swerving through traffic near Green Bay Street.
Police also handled several medical calls, including one where a man fell off a ladder at Walgreens, and another involving a 29-year-old experiencing chest pain. Later in the day, an 85-year-old woman was treated after a fall at her home.
Animal issues kept officers occupied too. A stray dog was captured on South Sawyer Street, and later in the afternoon, a woman reported being bitten by a small black-and-white dog while out walking.
Two separate drunk driving incidents were investigated—one near Highways 22 and 29, and another later in the evening outside the McDonald’s on East Green Bay Street.
Juvenile problems also surfaced, including kids riding a mini-ATV at high speed, and several cases of toilet papering and vandalism around town.
The day wrapped up with a welfare check at Kwik Trip, where a man was found slumped over in a vehicle.
Clintonville police logged a busy Tuesday with a mix of routine and emergency calls. Officers conducted numerous business checks overnight along South Main Street and surrounding areas. Around 1:30 a.m., an ambulance was dispatched to Industrial Avenue, and later in the morning a lost-and-found report came in from Olen Neighborhood Park.
Police also provided extra patrols near schools, including one on 20th Street, and assisted with a mutual aid call at Highways 45 and 76. A welfare check was handled on Flora Circle, and officers responded to an animal problem on 7th Street.
In the afternoon, disorderly conduct was reported on North Main Street, followed by a motor vehicle crash on East 14th Street. Another ambulance call came in from McKinley Avenue.
Later in the evening, police made two traffic stops—one at Highway 22 and Commercial Avenue, the other on South Main near Campus Drive. The day wrapped up with an extra patrol at Memorial Circle.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office logged 31 incidents on Tuesday. Early in the morning, deputies checked out a reckless driving complaint involving a work van swerving into Shawano. Not long after, an abandoned car was found on Waukechon Street, and a traffic crash was reported near Shiocton where a car rolled over—fortunately, no ambulance was required.
Deputies also responded to an animal problem when a deer was found injured in a ditch on County Road D. Later in the day, a driver was cited for passing a stopped school bus near Birnamwood, and casino staff turned in a vape pen containing THC.
The afternoon brought a string of calls, including vandalism at the Shawano County Jail, a disturbance on Putnam Lane, and juvenile issues in both Gresham and Bonduel. Deputies also handled repossessions, disabled vehicles, and a pair of courthouse security checks.
In the evening, things escalated with a child abuse complaint reported at Ho-Chunk Casino in Wittenberg. Deputies also checked on a welfare concern at Kwik Trip in Shawano, where a man was found slumped over in his vehicle.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department logged five calls, including reckless driving, an attempt to locate a suspect, and a juvenile problem at Gresham School.
