CLINTONVILLE, WI – Clintonville Superintendent Troy Kuhn says a new hunting permit system has officially been approved for the Clintonville School Forest and safety is the top priority. Kuhn says the district worked closely with the school board and the Wisconsin DNR to develop the updated process, ensuring hunters know and follow the rules before heading into the woods.
Under the new guidelines, hunting will be restricted to Clintonville School District taxpayers and adults who wish to mentor children in learning how to hunt. Kuhn emphasized that the district reserves the right to revoke permits at any time to allow for educational use of the forest.
He is encouraging hunters to respect the guidelines so that the opportunity can remain available for future seasons. “We want this to be a safe and positive experience for everyone,” Kuhn said. “If everyone follows the rules, we can keep this tradition going for years to come.”
