Central Wisconsin-North
Tigerton 3, Bowler 0
(25-19, 25-17, 25-17)
The Tigers had no problem on Thursday night sweeping the Bowler Panthers at home. The Tigers had to come back from 6 points down to win set 2 which they did 25-17. Jaelyn Brady had 25 digs on the night helping set up the Tigerton attack. Presley Stewart-Rolfs led the team in kills with 7, along with a block kill on the night.
With the win, Tigerton improves to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the CWC-North. Bowler drops to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Marion 3, Gresham 2
(25-19, 25-27, 25-21, 24-26, 15-4)
In the match of the night across Central Wisconsin, it was the Mustangs running wild over the Wildcats in 5 sets. It was back and forth the entire match until Marion shut down Gresham in the 5th set only allowing 4 points. Julia James had 7 kills for Marion. Freshman Suri Beilfuss had 10 of her own.
With the win, Marion improves to 8-3 overall and 3-1 in the CWC-North. Gresham drops to 6-7 overall and 3-2 in conference.
North Eastern
Clintonville 3, Marinette 0
(25-11, 25-17, 25-18)
The Truckers picked up a huge conference win in North Eastern action on Thursday over Marinette in straight sets.
With the sweep win, Clintonville improves to 5-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play. Marinette drops to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in conference.
Freedom 3, Little Chute 1
(25-22, 25-16, 20-25, 25-21)
The Irish defeated the Mustangs in a very competitive 4 set thriller at home on Thursday. Saylor Muelemans had 19 kills on the night and Norah Koss had 15 kills to help the Irish attack.
With the win, Freedom improves to 12-6 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Little Chute drops to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Oconto Falls 3, Wrightstown 0
(25-21, 25-21, 25-15)
The Panthers brought out the brooms Thursday night sweeping Wrightstown in straight sets. Izzy Otto for the Panthers had 25 assists and 11 digs making it a double double for her on the night. Lucy Ripley hammered down 17 kills for the Panthers as well.
With the win, Oconto Falls improves to 14-4 overall and 2-0 in conference action. Wrightstown drops to 11-12 overall and 1-2 in the North Eastern.
Fox Valley
#21 Fond du Lac 3, Hortonville 0
(25-13, 25-17, 25-15)
The ranked Cardinals went on the road and swept Hortonville in straight sets. The Polar Bear offense never got going as the Cardinals defense prevented the attack as Hortonville was held to a .111 hit percentage in the match.
With the loss, Hortonville drops to 11-9 overall and 2-2 in the FVA. Fond du Lac improves to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in the FVA.
Fox River Classic Conference
Manitowoc Lincoln 3, Pulaski 0
(25-17, 25-13, 25-12)
The Red Raiders did not sink the Ships on Thursday as Lincoln swept Pulaski on the road 3-0. Sami Weise had 4 kills for Pulaski. The Red Raiders were held to a .095 hit percentage in the match. With the loss, Pulaski drops to 8-8 overall and 0-2 in the FRCC. Manitowoc Lincoln improves to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in the FRCC.
Marinette & Oconto
Coleman 3, Lena 2
(25-15, 23-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-8)
In a 5 set thriller between the battle of big cat teams, it was the Coleman Cougars taking a key home conference win. Hailey Rosner and Alayna Gilbertson each had 9 kills. 7 aces came off the hands of Ava Zeitler.
With the win, Coleman improves to 6-10 overall and 5-2 in the M&O. Lena drops to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Suring 3, Niagara 0
(25-23, 25-23, 25-21)
The Eagles soared high on Thursday, sweeping the Badgers in straight sets. Aliya Cox for Suring had 12 kills, Ellyana Skarban had 13 kills. It was the Eagles defense in the end that kept the Badgers at bay.
Suring, with the win, improves to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in the M&O. Niagara drops to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in conference.
@ Lourdes Invite – Oshkosh
Shiocton
The Chiefs went 1-2 at the Lourdes Invite Thursday Night. Results are below:
Oakfield 2, Shiocton 1
(25-17, 25-22, 15-13)
The Oaks came back and took sets 2&3 to defeat the Chiefs in the 1st game. Cordelia Monnot had 9 kills for Shiocton.
Weyauwega-Fremont 2, Shiocton 0
(25-23, 25-23)
In another tightly contested match, the Chiefs ended up on the wrong end again. The Chiefs were held to a .099 hit percentage from the Warhawks defense.
Shiocton 2, Lourdes 0
(25-21, 25-13)
This time the Chiefs got a win and it was against the host school, Lourdes. Sophie Wagner had 6 kills for the Chiefs and Natalie Young added 4 aces.
After a 1-2 turnout in Oshkosh, Shiocton is now 16-6 overall.
Weyauwega-Fremont
The Warhawks turned in a 2-1 afternoon in Oshkosh. The Warhawks results are below:
Lourdes 2, Weyauwega-Fremont 0
(25-20, 25-19)
The Warhawks matched up with the host institution in the 1st game and fought hard but ended up getting swept 2-0.
Weyauwega-Fremont 2, Shiocton 0
(25-23, 25-23)
The Warhawks rebounded after the opening match loss with a close 2 set sweep of their own against Shiocton.
Weyauwega-Fremont 2, Oakfield 1
(25-18, 18-25, 15-11)
The Warhawks finished the night on a positive as they took down the Oaks in 3 sets.
With a 2-1 afternoon/evening at Oshkosh, the Warhawks sit at 3-7 overall now.
Non-Conference
Waupaca 3, Medford 1
(22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21)
The Comets streaked across the sky with their winning ways once again as they defeated the Raiders in 4 sets. Medford came in and took the 1st set after a hard fought battle but then Waupaca took the next 3 to clinch the match. Peyton Carlson had 31 kills on the night for Waupaca. Molly Martens added 13 of her own to help lead the Comets attack.
With the win, Waupaca improves to 11-7 overall and Medford drops to 4-9 overall.
