The Irish put up double digits on the Mustangs on Thursday night. Freedom had 9 goals in the 1st half. Goal scorers for Freedom were as follows: Cal Calhoon (4), Sawyer Rueckl (2), Caleb Kurey (2), Tristan Brennenstuhl (1), Andres Chavez (1) and Connor Kurey (1).
The win improves Freedom to 4-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in conference. Little Chute drops to 0-8 overall and 0-3 in conference.
Marinette 4, Clintonville 2
The match was tied at 2 at the break but the Marines mustered 2 goals in the 2nd half to break even and win 4-2. Goal scorers for Marinette were Damien Winterbottom (2), Hunter Schneider (1) and Angel Ayala (1).
The win improves Marinette to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference. Clintonville drops to 3-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the North Eastern.
Bay Conference
Fox Valley Lutheran 2, Menasha 0
The Foxes shutout the Bluejays on the road with goals from Kaleb Williams and Ezra Schaser. Keaton Enter made 3 saves on the night for the Foxes in 80 minutes in goal.
With the win, FVL improves to 6-3-1 overall and 4-1 in the Bay. Menasha drops to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the Bay.
Central Wisconsin-8
Columbus Catholic 4, Amherst 1
The Amherst Falcons lost their 2nd straight contest, this time to a conference opponent in the Dons of Columbus Catholic. The lone Amherst goal was scored by Ayden Kazada. Finn Burnett in goal made 5 saves.
The loss drops Amherst to 6-2-1 overall and 4-1 in conference. Columbus Catholic improves to 9-2-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Newman Catholic 6, Gresham/Bowler 2
The Fighting Cardinals definitely lived up to their nickname fighting all game and putting 6 up on the Cats.
With the loss, the Gresham/Bowler Co-Op drops to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in conference. Newman Catholic improves to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in conference.
Non-Conference
Oshkosh North 4, Pulaski 0
The Red Raiders were blanked on Thursday evening at the hand of the Spartans. It was only 1-0 Oshkosh North at the half, the Spartans added 3 more in the 2nd half to put the game out of reach. Jonah Drevs made 4 saves in goal.
With the loss, Pulaski drops to 4-3-3 overall. Oshkosh North improves to 3-3-2 overall.
Shawano 8, Antigo 0
The Hawks and the Red Robins did battle in a battle of the birds and the Hawks flew high putting 8 into the back of the net.
The Hawks improve to 7-2-1 overall. Antigo drops to 2-4 overall.
