The Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers girls cross country team captured 1st place at the Bonduel Bear Invite. The Chargers were led by a 3 Top-10 finishes from Rory Salvesen, Nora Bushman and Harper Krull. Mariah Wondra from Bonduel was the 1st place finisher.

The Pulaski Boys Cross Country team took 1st place on the road at St. Mary Catholic on Tuesday. The Red Raiders scored a perfect score with 15 points. They were led by 7 runners out of the Top-10 spots. Parker Marshall of Pulaski took 1st place with a time of 16:54.

Bay North Conference Mini Meet #7 – Golden Sands GC – Cecil
Seymour captured another Bay North Conference win Tuesday at Golden Sands Golf Course, posting a team score of 170 to take the top spot. Junior Morgan Lewis led the Thunder with a meet-best 38, followed by Lyla Schueler’s 42, Maci Heagle’s 44, and Ava Skenadore’s 46 to seal the victory.
Shawano claimed second with a 191, paced by senior Madelyn Moesch’s 39, just one stroke off the lead. Lauren Seehafer added a 50, while Hailey Hawkinson and Alyssa Singer each turned in 51s to round out the Hawks’ team scoring.
Bonduel finished fifth with a 235, led by Paige Wolf’s 57. Teammates Hailey Spates (58) and McKenna Onesti (59) kept the Bears in the mix, while Leah Court and Quinn Hartlaben each carded 61s.
@ Freedom Triangular – Irish Waters GC
Wrightstown turned in a solid second-place finish with a team score of 208 at Tuesday’s North Eastern Conference triangular. Junior Ella Swanson led the Tigers with a 45, followed by Lahela Carter and Molly Ruebl, who each carded 53s. Freshman Adrienne Stelzer and junior Hannah Peterson both added 57s to round out Wrightstown’s team scoring.
Waupaca placed third with a 280, led by senior Lily Cichy’s 62. Fellow seniors Kendra Hotvedt (67) and Emma Brunner (76) combined with sophomore Elsa Ferkett (75) to pace the Comets, while junior Kaylee Wowzynski closed out the team scoring.
Freedom won the event with a 200, led by Kay Lee McClintock’s 44.
Girls Tennis
Some dual matches across the area:
Hortonville 4, Appleton West 3
In a tightly contested match between the Polar Bears and the Terrors, it was Hortonville coming out in the end with the win. Hortonville improves to 4-7-1 now and the Terrors drop to 5-14.
New London 5, Marinette 2
The Bulldogs dispatched the Marines improving to 2-7 on the year while Marinette still searches for their 1st win of the season, sitting at 0-6.
Menasha 4, Shawano 3
The Battle of the Birds came down to the wire but Menasha got the best of Shawano in the end. With the loss, Shawano drops to 9-19 and Menasha improves to 12-9.
