Shawano Police responded to a series of incidents Monday, keeping officers busy throughout the day.
Around 4 a.m., officers were called to a disturbance near South Main and Oshkosh Streets. The situation was handled without any reported injuries.
Later in the morning, police were requested at the Odisha House of Rest on East Green Bay Street, after a civil dispute involving a customer who had been mistakenly credited too much money. Officers met with staff to help resolve the issue.
School resource officers were also active, with multiple calls of truancy reported from Hillcrest Primary School, along with welfare checks requested by both Shawano Middle and Olga Brener schools.
Around 1 p.m., police and fire crews responded to an alarm at New Source Financial on South Main Street. No smoke or flames were found, and the scene was cleared quickly.
In the afternoon, an unusual call came in from ThedaCare Medical Center. Staff reported a dog bite involving a Shawano resident. The victim told officers the dog was his own and confirmed vaccinations were current.
Police were also called to Shawano High School for a minor parking lot crash involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported, though traffic was briefly impacted.
Later, a suspicious activity report on South Weed Street concerned a resident who found small bullets near her front porch. Officers collected details and are investigating.
And to wrap up the day, police assisted with a vehicle lockout at Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street. The stranded driver was safely reunited with her keys.

Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls on Monday.
Just after midnight, officers handled a disorderly conduct case on Brent Street, followed shortly after by a report of a juvenile runaway on West 14th Street. Around 1 a.m., police conducted a welfare check on South Main Street, and later assisted an ambulance crew on North Clinton Avenue.
In the morning, two traffic crashes were reported—one on Ruth Street and another at West Madison and West Street. Officers also made an arrest related to bail jumping on South Clinton Avenue.
Throughout the day, police checked on welfare concerns, responded to a suspicious activity call on Modoc Street, and investigated a 911 hang-up on North Main. Traffic complaints and stops kept officers busy into the evening, including incidents near Highway 156, 15th Street, and East 2nd Street.
The day wrapped up with routine business checks and a lost-and-found call on South Main Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy slate of calls on Monday.
Deputies responded to several reports of reckless driving, starting early in the morning along Highway 29 near Bonduel and later on Valley Road, Highway 45, and near Pulaski. In one case, a driver was cited for operating after revocation and an ignition interlock violation.
An animal complaint in Bonduel was investigated just after 6 a.m., while later in the evening, deputies responded to a Shawano home where a dog attacked a neighbor’s cat. Both incidents were resolved without further danger.
Deputies also handled a pair of traffic crashes in Gresham and Shawano, along with utility problems reported in Caroline.
At mid-morning, a warrant pickup was made at the county courthouse, and a fraud case was investigated on St. John’s Church Road. Deputies also responded to a 911 crash notification on Range Line Road.
Calls continued into the afternoon with a suspicious vehicle reported in Marion, a noise complaint in Bowler, and a welfare check in the town of Pella. A resident near Shawano also reported finding a suspicious five-gallon bucket of liquid, and deputies advised on disposal.
Later in the evening, deputies assisted with a harassment complaint in Wittenberg, checked out an alarm at Dollar General in Tigerton, and investigated a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police also reported reckless driving in Bowler that same day.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds drivers to use caution, especially with school and fall traffic increasing across the county.
