CLINTONVILLE, WI – The Clintonville Common Council has approved the purchase of a new bucket truck for the city’s utilities department.
The 47-foot vehicle will be purchased from Utility Sales and Service of Appleton at a cost of just over $270,000. According to city officials, the truck is expected to be delivered by September 30, 2026, and no payment will be required until the vehicle arrives.
The purchase was originally scheduled as part of Clintonville Utilities’ 2027 Capital Improvement Plan, but the council opted to move forward earlier. Utility Sales and Service submitted the lowest of three bids, with higher proposals coming from companies in Illinois and Minnesota.
City leaders say the truck will provide critical support for utility work, improving safety and efficiency for crews.
