The New London Bulldogs are off to a scorching start as they are 3-0 after their latest win against Winneconne. The Bulldogs have blanked every opponent they have played and have scored at least 7 goals in their last 3 matches. The Bulldogs got 2 in the 1st half of play and then added 5 more on in the 2nd half to defeat the Wolves.
Fox Valley Lutheran 7, Green Bay East 0
The Fox Valley Lutheran varsity soccer team dominated Thursday’s home conference match, defeating Green Bay East 7-0. The Foxes scored five goals in the first half and added two more in the second to secure a convincing shutout. Ezra Schaser led the attack with three goals, while Kaleb Williams, Ian Luehring, and Joshua Su each added one. Luehring and Williams also contributed assists, helping the Foxes pile up 18 points as a team. In goal, Keaton Enter recorded a clean sheet, stopping all six shots on goal to preserve the shutout. With the win, the Foxes improve to 2-1-1 and Green Bay East drops to 0-4.
Luxemburg-Casco 3, Clintonville 0
The Spartans picked up their 1st win of the season moving to 1-2 and dispacthing Clintonville to 0-2.
Marinette 9, Little Chute 0
The Marines added up 13 corner kicks to defeat Little Chute. Senior Liam Closchey added 2 goals on the day for Marinette as the Marines move to 2-1 and Little Chute drops to 0-4.
Wrighstown 3, Waupaca 0
The Tigers used 2 goals in the 1st half to pull away from Waupaca and added 1 in the 2nd half to beat the
Comets 3-0. Wrightstown improves to 1-2-1 on the season while Waupaca drops to 1-3.
Freedom 6, Denmark 0
The Freedom varsity soccer team picked up a dominant 6-0 conference win over Denmark on Thursday. The Irish scored three goals in each half to secure the shutout. Sawyer Rueckl led the attack with three goals, while Cal Calhoon added two and Hudson Lang contributed one. Calhoon also led the team in points with seven, thanks to his combination of goals and assists. Additional points came from Cohen Riska. In goal, Cohen Riska preserved the clean sheet, stopping all four shots on goal, while Denmark’s goalkeeper Kaleb Whitwam faced 15 shots and allowed six goals.
Denmark suffered their 1st loss of the season moving to 2-1 and Freedom moved to 3-1 with the shutout win.
Notre Dame Academy 5, Xavier 0
The Notre Dame Academy varsity soccer team rolled to a 5-0 non-conference win over Xavier on Thursday. The Hawks were unable to find the back of the net as the Tritons dominated both halves of the match. Braden Maxfield led the team with three goals.
Notre Dame improves their record to 2-1-1 and Xavier drops to 1-3.
Shawano 5, Seymour 0
The Hawks improve to 3-1 on the season and drop Seymour to 0-2.
Pulaski 0, North Fond du Lac 0
Jonah Drevs had a save on the night for the Red Raiders. Pulaski out shot the Orioles 9-1 on the night. The Red Raiders record now stands at 2-1-2 and North Fond du Lac sits at 1-0-1.
Hortonville 2, Oshkosh North 1
The Hortonville varsity soccer team picked up a 2-1 conference win over Oshkosh North on Thursday. The Polar Bears scored twice in the first half while holding off a late Spartan rally to secure the victory. Roman Glad and Evan Langkan each scored a goal for Hortonville, with Glad also recording an assist. James Baker contributed an assist as well, helping the team generate six points in the match. In goal, Grant Decker made four saves to preserve the one-goal lead. The Polar Bears improve to 3-0-1 and Oshkosh North drops to 1-2-1.
Amherst 8, Newman Catholic 0
The Amherst varsity soccer team dominated Thursday’s home conference match, defeating Newman 8-0. The Falcons scored six goals in the first half and added two more in the second to secure a commanding shutout. Ayden Kazda led the team with five points, while Oliver Snyder, and Isaac Snyder each added a goal. Additional points came from Milo Graham and Desmond Rooney. The Falcons improve to 4-0 and Newman Catholic drops to 0-1 on their young season.
