Bonduel Bears
The Bears opened the season with a loss to Wittenberg-Birnamwood but bounced back strong in Week 2 with a 33-12 win over Coleman. Junior quarterback Quinn Wesenberg has been efficient and effective, completing 17 of 31 passes for 241 yards and 5 touchdowns through two games. His top target has been Carter Moesch, who has posted 150 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on 6 catches, while also contributing 150 rushing yards and a rushing score. Running back Malachi Gray has given the Bears another reliable option with 119 rushing yards and a touchdown. On defense, Moesch leads the team with 14 tackles and 2 tackles for loss, while senior Ryan Westrich has piled up 13.5 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a sack. Bonduel is showing signs of balance on both sides of the ball as they prepare for another tough test.
Southern Door Eagles
The Eagles enter Week 3 at 1-1 after a dramatic 17-14 win over Shiocton and a 36-20 loss to New Holstein. Junior quarterback Caleb Delwiche has thrown for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns, with senior wideout Lauden Berg emerging as his top target. Berg has 6 receptions for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also making his mark defensively with 3 interceptions, tying him for the state lead. On the ground, the Eagles use a committee approach with Landon Vandertie (117 yards, 1 TD), Damontrae Meeks (72 yards, 2 TDs), and Raymond Paye (121 yards) all producing early in the season.
