SHAWANO, WI- The rides may be packed up and the midway quiet, but work behind the scenes is already underway for next year’s Shawano County Fair. Fair Board President Scott Brietrick says the 2025 edition wrapped up on a high note, especially when it came to entertainment. From music acts to family-friendly events, organizers felt this year’s lineup delivered in a big way, and now the challenge is to bring that same energy back in 2026.
“We have booked a new contract with the carnival and we booked Night Shift for Friday night and we are in contact with Spicy Tie Band and Cherry Pie again for next year as well,” Brietrick added.
Rainbow Valley Rides will return again to provide all the Carnival Fun.
Brietrick said the weather was perfect all six days and everything went well.
The Shawano County Fair has long been a Labor Day weekend tradition, but next year’s fair will have one of the latest starts in recent memory. The 2026 fair kicks off on Wednesday, September 2nd and runs through Labor Day, September 7th. That extended schedule is expected to pack in plenty of rides, shows, and livestock events while giving families a chance to close out the summer together.
Organizers say while the details are still being finalized, fairgoers can expect a mix of crowd favorites and new attractions to keep things fresh. With planning already in motion, the Shawano County Fair Board is determined to build on the momentum of 2024 and make next year’s fair another can’t-miss celebration.
