SHAWANO, WI – While fairgoers enjoy the sights, sounds, and food of the Shawano County Fair, much of the hard work happens behind the scenes.
Fair organizer Scott Bietrick said the event would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers. “We would not be able to do it without volunteers,” he explained. “It takes a lot of people who put in time, especially helping around the animals and other events.”
Sponsors also play a key role in making the fair a success. Paul McGlone said sponsors provide support for kids’ shows, rides, food, and even the animals. “It’s all about the sponsors and the kids,” he said, encouraging fairgoers to recognize their contributions.
McGlone also highlighted the new Ag Society projects, including the renovated Coliseum, which will host the market animal sale tonight.
