Girls Golf had a multitude of events on Monday featuring area teams.
Bay South Conference – Mini Meet #3
Fox Valley Lutheran captured the team title at the Bay South Conference Mini-Meet #3 on Monday at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London.
The Foxes posted a team score of 204, finishing ahead of Winneconne (217) and Saint Mary Catholic (239). Host New London rounded out the standings with a score of 311.
Individually, Winneconne’s Emma Cegielski and Saint Mary Catholic’s Olivia Nagel shared medalist honors, each carding a 47. Fox Valley Lutheran’s Elliot Kriewaldt followed closely with a 48, while teammates Grace Sauer and Lucy Engelbrecht each shot 51 to help secure the Foxes’ victory.
Other top-10 finishers included FVL’s Cecilia Hermann (54), Winneconne’s Allie Groff and Jada Kaiser (56), Winneconne’s Mia Rust (58), and Saint Mary Catholic freshman Martha Peters (61).
New London was led by Jenna Handschke, who carded a 69. Teammates Taylor Klotzbuecher (80), Savannah Tepoorten (81), Ava Seater (81), and Melia Schultz (91) rounded out the Bulldogs’ scoring.
The Bay South Conference season continues with its next mini-meet later this week.
Triangular @ Waupaca CC – Denmark, Oconto Falls and Waupaca
Denmark claimed the team title at a multi-team girls golf meet Monday at Waupaca Country Club, outpacing Oconto Falls and host Waupaca.
The Vikings finished with a team score of 200, followed by Oconto Falls with 220 and Wrightstown with a 224, Marinette followed closely behind with a 225, and host Waupaca with a 282.
Denmark sophomore Alison Lindsley earned medalist honors with a round of 44. Teammate Ella Johanek added a 48, while Whitney Derricks carded a 52 to tie for third with Oconto Falls senior Kylie Thompson.
Oconto Falls saw additional strong rounds from Chloe Anastasopoulos (54), Addy Kluth (56), and Anna Burd (58). Denmark’s Katelyn Shedlosky (56) and Macey Vandenhouten (62) also contributed to the team win.
Waupaca was led by seniors Kendra Hotvedt and Jillian Trzebiatowski, who each shot 67, followed by Elsa Ferkett (72) and Adi Schulz (76).
Freedom @ Luxemburg-Casco – Dual Meet – Northbrook Golf & Grill
Playing on their home course, Luxemburg-Casco held off Freedom in a close dual Monday. The Spartans posted a 214 to slip past the Irish, who finished just three strokes back at 217.
Freedom’s Kay Lee McClintock claimed medalist honors with a steady round of 49, the only golfer to break 50 on the day. Luxemburg-Casco countered with consistency throughout the lineup, as Brielle Snowberry (52) and Reese Bandow (52) tied for second, while Lauren Davister (53) and Chloe Treml (57) also contributed key scores.
For Freedom, Lauren Stelow (54) and Islee Hounsell (56) gave strong support, while senior Katelynn Shultz (58) matched LC’s Sienna Blohowiak to round out the top 10. Addie Anderson closed out the Irish lineup with a 75.
