Shawano Police responded to a variety of calls Sunday into early Monday.
Just after midnight, officers were called to East Center Street where a resident reported a loud truck parked in their driveway. Multiple officers checked the area and cleared the scene after speaking with those involved.
Around 4:15 a.m., police and sheriff’s deputies assisted with a crash near County Road M and Rose Brook Road. A caller reported a vehicle possibly rolling into a ditch behind the paper mill. Several units responded and remained on scene for several hours.
Later in the morning, officers checked on a man reportedly asking strangers to blow into a breathalyzer outside a Green Bay Street business, but the individual was gone when police arrived.
Police also responded to a disturbance on West Fifth Street, a hit-and-run outside Pizza Hut on East Green Bay Street, and a report of kids finding a tent in the woods near the Newcap building.
One of the more concerning calls came from Fairview Way, where a couple reported headaches and shaking that they believed could be linked to carbon monoxide poisoning. Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
Later in the evening, officers investigated a report of juveniles firing a pellet gun toward a school and at a neighbor. Extra patrols were requested in another neighborhood after threats were made against a resident.
And in the early morning hours Monday, police removed a large amount of hay from the roadway at Engel Drive and Waukechon Street, and responded to a disorderly conduct complaint where a man was reportedly throwing garbage cans into the road.
The Shawano Police Department continues to investigate several of these incidents.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls Officers assisted ambulance crews with medical emergencies on 20th Street just after noon and later on South Main Street shortly after 11 p.m. Police also assisted another agency with a call on Lincoln Avenue around 5:30 in the evening.
Traffic enforcement was active, with stops reported on South Main Street and Sergeant Warren Hansen Drive. Officers also handled a traffic complaint on Waupaca Street just after 2 a.m.
Suspicious activity was investigated at two different locations — near South Main Street before 8 a.m. and again at North Main and 19th around 3 a.m.
Other calls included harassment reported on Harriet Street, utility issues near Pearl and North 12th, and extra patrols at Memorial Circle. Officers also conducted business checks and assisted citizens with service needs during the day.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a steady flow of calls Sunday.Deputies were called out shortly after 1 a.m. to a disturbance at a residence in the Town of Wittenberg. A welfare check was later conducted in the Village of Gresham around 3:30 a.m., where authorities ensured the safety of individuals involved.
In the afternoon, deputies handled a report of suspicious activity in the Town of Herman, and later assisted with a disorderly conduct situation in the Town of Richmond.
Traffic safety was also a focus throughout the day. Multiple traffic stops were made, including one near Bonduel just after 5 p.m., and another in the Town of Seneca around 9 p.m. Deputies also investigated a property damage crash along County Highway M in the Town of Grant earlier that evening.
Other calls included extra patrols, follow-up investigations, and routine business checks across the county.
