Shawano police handled a wide range of calls on Tuesday It began shortly after midnight when officers picked up a stray black and white husky near East Fifth Street, later transferring the dog to the Humane Society.
Around 6:30 a.m., officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint on South Water Street. A resident reported a neighbor threw a trash can into their driveway, an incident captured on camera.
Later that morning, police investigated suspicious behavior on South Union Street, where a man was reportedly acting erratically, possibly under the influence of drugs.
By mid-day, a reckless driving complaint came in near the Dairy Queen on East Green Bay Street. A caller reported a Jeep passing illegally and running a stop sign before speeding off westbound.
In the afternoon, police were called to the Shawano County Courthouse for a custodial interference report, followed by a series of welfare checks. One involved concern for a juvenile possibly under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and another reported two intoxicated 13-year-olds on South Union Street.
That evening, officers responded to a burglar alarm at Associated Bank, which was investigated and cleared. Later, a drug complaint came from Madison Way Apartments, where a strong odor was reported in the building.
Other calls included a domestic disturbance on Picnic Street, reckless driving near North Franklin and Third, a suspicious activity complaint on Hill Street, and a late-night 911 pocket dial from Aarrowcast.
The day wrapped up with a noise complaint on Sawyer Street and another welfare check early Wednesday morning.
Clintonville Police Report Officers conducted multiple business and extra patrol checks through the early morning hours, including along South Main Street, East Green Tree Road, and around local parks.
A vehicle lockout was reported on Robert Street, while officers also assisted citizens on 16th Street. Later in the day, a suspicious activity call was investigated on Harriet Street, followed by an agency assist on Flora Way.
Police responded to a welfare check on Anne Street and monitored traffic concerns on South Main Street. That evening, a suspicious person was reported on East Morning Glory Drive, and extra patrol was requested in the Memorial Circle area.
Medical assistance was dispatched to Ninth Street, and a family-related incident closed out the night on Sixth Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office logged a busy Tuesday. Deputies responded to multiple animal-related calls, including a stray husky found near East 5th Street in Shawano, a deer versus vehicle crash on Highway 45 near Oxyoke Road, and several reports of barking or loose dogs.
Two individuals were taken into custody on warrants. One man turned himself in at the Shawano County Jail, while another was picked up on North Main Street later that morning.
Reckless driving complaints kept deputies on alert, with vehicles reported weaving across lanes on both Highway 29 and Highway 22 near Cecil.
Other notable calls included trespassing complaints in Pulaski and Shawano, harassment reports involving social media messages, and welfare checks in Tigerton and Clintonville. Deputies also investigated a civil dispute in Pulaski over bank account use, and assisted in Gresham where alcohol-related disturbances were reported.
In one unusual incident, a vehicle submerged near County Road Y was pulled from the water — everyone inside had made it out safely.
