NEOPIT, WI – The Community Produce Giveaway is back this week, offering residents another chance to bring home fresh fruits and vegetables, completely free of charge.
This week’s distribution will take place on Wednesday, August 20, at 9 a.m. at the CMN Neopit Building. The event is hosted by members of DoCE, who will be sharing produce harvested directly from the CMN Garden.
Organizers say the giveaway is meant to support healthy eating habits and ensure that fresh, local produce is available to anyone in the community, regardless of income. The program has been especially popular during the summer growing season, with residents lining up early to make sure they don’t miss out.
Those attending are asked to check in with staff upon arrival before collecting their produce. Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and supplies may go quickly.
