
Diane A. Ashenbrenner, age 90 of Shawano, passed away peacefully Friday evening, August 15, 2025, in Shawano. Diane was born in Shawano on July 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Edward and
Adala (Weber) Page. She attended school in Shawano, graduating with the Class of 1953. Following school, she worked at Badger Breeders for several years. On April 26, 1960, Diane went to work as a secretary at Weber Veneer & Plywood, retiring on June 30, 1998, after 38 years of employment. On November 20, 1954, Diane was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lyle
Ashenbrenner, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. The couple were blessed with 63 years of marriage until Lyle’s passing on March 28, 2018. Diane is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling and golfing for many years, was an avid Brewers fan, and enjoyed watching the Packers. Diane loved to travel, and with her husband they traveled to Portugal, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Bahamas, and many states throughout the United States. She also enjoyed her many, many casino getaway trips over the years with her daughter Mary.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Paul Pleshek of Bonduel; her granddaughter Heather (Matt) Kieffer of Kaukauna, and their children, Alison (Quin), Breanna (Brady), and her favorite great-grandchild, Joseph, who is currently serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Italy. Diane is further survived by her granddaughter, Shelli (Chad) Fehrman of New Richmond, and their children, Kendall, Brynn, and Cade; her brother, Douglas Page; sister-in-law, Nancy (Don) Bemke of Wisconsin Rapids; brothers-in-law, Duane (Kathy) Ashenbrenner and Gene (Pat) Ashenbrenner, all of Shawano.
Diane was preceded in death by her son, Steven Ashenbrenner, on January 14, 2023; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Matt and Leona Ashenbrenner; nephews, Bob Page, Brian Ashenbrenner, and Gary Ashenbrenner; and her sister-in-law, Evelyn (Dale) Humphrey.
A private Funeral Mass for Diane will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Fr. Edward Looney will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
